The redevelopment consisted of a new 3500 seat stand on Mold Road and the upgrading of two other stands that would convert the Racecourse Ground to an all-seater stadium and international venue for North Wales.
The Design and Build project was won on the basis of design quality for this prominent site on the approach road into Wrexham and for the imaginative use of a difficult site. It responds to the integration of the existing public house on the corner of the sitewith a symmetrical design and makes reference to the Ground's heritage as a racecourse.
The accommodation includes eight hospitality boxes, a lounge withdedicated seating, a new Control Room and facilities for televisedmatches and the full spectator facilities of a modern stadium.
