International Rugby Stadium

Client: Rugby Football Union

The Redevelopment of the South Stand at Twickenham has completed the bowl of the three tier spectator accommodation and increased the Stadium capacity from 75,000 to 82,500.

Incorporated within the new Stand are new hospitality boxes, suites, bars, spectator concourses and new conference and banqueting facilities.

The Stand also incorporates a significant commercial development backing onto the spectator accommodation providing an attractive frontage to the whole stadium. The use of ramps as the main means of access and egress to the middle and upper tiers, provides a powerful sculptural form and serves as a transition between the existing East and West Stand and the new South Stand.

The redevelopment of the New South Stand will ensure Twickenham remains one of the foremost sporting arenas in the world.
